of certification of products and services in the field of fire safety (SCFS)
has been put into effect in the

re-registered in the
Federal Register 14.08.2003 (certificate No. ÐÎÑÑRU0017.01ÁÁ00) because a state
fire-prevention service was included
(inserted) in Ministry of the Russian
Federation for civil defence, emergencies and elimination of consequences of
natural disasters (Emercom of Russia).

were re-registered in the Ministry of Justice, Registration number is 4784

All
participants of SCFS perform their activities in accord with the Federal Laws ‘On
Fire Safety’, ‘On Technical Regulation’ , other decrees of the
Russian Federation Government, by ‘Rules of Certification In the Field of
Fire Safety’ and ‘The Procedure of Certification In the Field of Fire
Safety’.
The
participants of SCFS are : the Central Certification
Body in the field of fire safety (the Fire-Fighting Directorate of the Ministry
of the
Interaction
of SCFS participants with other bodies of Federal management
The SCFS
is implemented in close interaction with the GOST R Federal
System of certification of products and services. It is governed by the
treaties of interaction and differentiation between the authorities, by other
documents.
The
products listed in the document ‘Nomenclature of Products and Services
Subject to Mandatory Certification In the Field of
Fire Safety’ should be certified on the obligatory basis. The ‘Nomenclature’
is regularly revised.
The POZHTEST Certification Body
The POZHTEST Certification Body is founded
on the basis of the All-Russian Research Institute For Fire Protection. It executes the certification
of products and services both in GOST R system and CFS system.
